This place was the perfect spot after a long day of driving. It may seem to be a little outdated but we don’t care about that. It was safe, clean, beds were very comfy and had refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms. Night staff was very friendly and there was coffee, granola bars, microwaveable breakfast burritos and sandwiches. I would recommend this hometown place to anyone. There is a cute coffee shop, fun bar/restaurant downtown. We loved driving through the Cave road to see some beautiful sights just north of town.
Great spot I enjoyed my stay here , its a clean and well kept mom n pop small town hotel , complimentary mw bfast sandwiches in the morning . Stay here instead of the bigger places down south - much nicer .

Sweetest little place. We were looking for clean, comfortable, and affordable as near to Rapid City as we could get after crossing the Canada border back into the U.S. Tipperary Motel did not disappoint. We were about 1 1/2 hours north of Rapid City. The staff, Sammie, was responsive and checked us in before our somewhat-late arrival. We picked up our key/receipt from the front counter and that was it. Quiet and peaceful, I highly recommend.
Thank goodness Tipperary Motel is here! My coworkers and I have found this place to be so reliable and comfortable for our visits to Harding County. Kind, thoughtful service with clean rooms and just-right-comfy beds.
Super clean, super accommodating, and SUPER friendly. We arrived late and left early, the owner was welcoming and accommodating and even had the coffee pot ready for us for the morning. There's essentials if you've forgot anything. Very personal touch, you could even say a boutique motel.
This is a small hotel in a small town. When you stay here, you're not going to be at a Holiday Inn and doesn't pretend to be. The new owner is very nice and accomodating. She called me to see when I would be arriving and left the key for me at the front desk. It's pet friendly and my pup loved exploring the area. The room is simple but very clean. I've stayed in a lot of small town hotels that weren't nearly as comfortable as this one. Your stay will be very pleasant if you arrive with the right expectations.
We were getting tired being on the road all day, and hungry to boot. Got gas at a little store on the highway. he suggested the Tipperary Motel. Called Sammie and she got us settled in real quick. Nothing fancy, but clean, quiet, and convenient. Got a few groceries at the local grocery store and picked up some good food at the No.3 Saloon. Nice town.
